About the Artists
DUO FURIOSO, the husband and wife team of pianists SILVIA ROEDERER and LESLIE TUNG, has performed at the Carinthian Summer Festival in Austria and at the Conservatories of Music at Beijing and Shanghai, China. Silvia Roederer is professor emeritus of music at Western Michigan University, where she served as chair of the keyboard area. Her extremely active career as chamber musician has taken her all over the world. As pianist of the Verdehr Trio since 1997, she has performed in Moscow, Athens, London, Vienna, Warsaw, Stockholm, Hong Kong, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Brasilia, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States. Leslie Tung, professor emeritus of music at Kalamazoo College, has been recitalist at the First International Festival and Conference on Fortepiano in Antwerp, the Michigan MozartFest, the Connecticut Early Music Festival and Festival Indianapolis. In addition, he has appeared at over 35 colleges and universities, most recently as Distinguished Guest Artist at the University of Memphis School of Music, as soloist at the Conservatoire National de Région Chabrier, guest artist at the Academy for Performing Arts in Hong Kong and at the 2012 Gilmore International Keyboard Festival.
