Imani Winds Residency
Sept. 13–14, 2017, and April 6–7, 2018
With two member composers and a deep commitment to commissioning new works, Imani Winds has distinguished itself by enriching the traditional wind quintet repertoire while meaningfully bridging European, American, African and Latin American traditions. Beginning this fall, this exciting New York-based ensemble will serve as our 2017/18 artists-in-residence, traveling to the DePauw campus on September 13–14, 2017, and April 6–7, 2018. These multi-faceted residencies include in-depth collaborations with wind students, the composition and chamber music programs at DePauw and with the Greencastle community.
