College Audition Prep Day

The College Audition Prep Day at the DePauw University School of Music assists high school musicians in preparing for their college auditions and interviews through master classes, workshops and interview preparation. This event is FREE for participants.

9:00 AM  |  Student and Parent Sessions:

  • Students - School of Music Faculty Master Classes on Preparing for College Auditions – Violin, Viola, Cello/Bass, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Low Brass, Percussion, Piano, and Voice
  • Parents - Campus Tour

10:00 AM  |  Music Major Speed Dating: Short College Mock Interviews 

11:00 AM  |  Lunch

12:00 PM  |  Student and Parent Sessions (choose 1):

  • Master Class 
  • Interactive Performance

3:00 PM  |  Student and Parent Sessions:

  • Students: Campus Tour
  • Parents: "Make Life a Work of Art" – A discussion with Mark Rabideau, director of the 21st-Century Musician Initiative, about what is learned through embracing a life lived through the arts.

4:00 PM  |  Storytellers@M2 on the Square, 21 N. Indiana Street

A musical mash-up of performance, interviews, humor and candid moments give visiting students a glimpse into the minds of the most compelling music-makers of our time.

5:00 PM  |  Pizza Party

7:00 PM  |  Jazz Fest Closing Concert: Eddie Henderson
