About the Artists
Tenor KERRY LEE JENNINGS enjoys a career that encompasses opera, oratorio, recital and chamber works. Operatic highlights include over forty lead and supporting roles comprised of early, standard and contemporary repertoire, along with recently singing the role of Ernesto in Sankt Anton, Austria. His 2013 Centaur Records release with pianist Amanda Hopson, In My Memory: American Songs and Song Cycles, featuring works by Libby Larsen, Tom Cipullo, Lori Laitman and Richard Pearson Thomas, has been met with acclaim from composers and critics alike. Libby Larsen has called Kerry’s recording of her cycle My Àntonia “the definitive reference performance for future performances.”

Pianist AMANDA HOPSON, who began accompanying at the age of ten, has always been drawn to song literature. She has performed as master class accompanist for Elly Ameling, Adam Guettel, Jake Heggie and Nathan Gunn and has concertized with former King’s Singer vocalist Gabriel Crouch and famed soprano Lise Lindstrom. A review of Hopson’s performance on the Centaur Records release In My Memory: American Songs and Song Cycles praises her as “an equally fine musician, finding the character of the various accompaniments to perfection.”
